Trumpkin

Trumpkin came to us a stray and it appears as though he's been on his own for quite some time as he arrived in poor condition. He is a handsome senior 10-year-old brown tabby that has stolen the hearts of the staff here at QHS. He was seen by a veterinarian for his poor body condition and it was discovered that he is FIV + (feline immunodeficiency virus). The major route of virus transmission is through deep bite wounds that occur during fighting. This doesn't mean this sweet old boy shouldn't have a chance at a family, and a cozy home to call his own. Trumpkin would do best as an only child in his new home, he would love a dedicated and loving owner to dote on him, someone to give him all the love and affection he has missed out on during his lonely life. Trumpkin loves to be pet and fussed over.
Trumpkin is currently on prednisolone, and will be for the foreseeable future. This medication is an anti-inflammatory, he takes it in pill form, which he happily eats crushed in wet food 2x daily. He is also taking a lysine supplement, which helps his body produce antibodies and enzymes that support the immune system. He is looking for a home dedicated to ensuring he lives out the remainder of his life as healthy and happy as possible.

FIV cats can live long and happy lives, please don't let his diagnosis deter you from considering him as a forever friend. We know there must be someone out there with a huge heart that has room for this sweet senior.
