Starting Monday, June 1st we are resuming adoptions. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, certain steps, procedures and precautions will be followed to keep everyone safe. There will be no exceptions.
Animals available for adoption can only be viewed on our website at:
All available animals will be posted at 1pm on Friday May 29th.
Adoptions are going to be through APPOINTMENT ONLY. There will be five appointments a day available, six days a week (Monday to Saturday), so please be patient. Especially the first couple of weeks as we expect a lot of inquiries, and we only have one supervisor working at a time.
DO NOT miss or be late for your appointment, or you will have to reschedule and potentially lose out on the animal you were interested in.
You may contact us through email at firstname.lastname@example.org to request an adoption application to fill out, or download them from the website link above, and email it to us.
An adoption coordinator will be in touch with you ASAP at the number you provide on the application to discuss any questions, concerns, and to set up an appointment to meet your new family member.
On the day of your appointment you will meet the animal you are interested in. If it is a match, the adoption will be processed, payment accepted and you will take home your new family member. If adopting a cat, please bring a carrier with you to your appointment.
If you own a dog, a meet and greet with the dog you are potentially adopting is still required, however safety measures will be in place, and details will be discussed during your phone conversation.
Masks MUST be worn at all times in the shelter. Staff will also be wearing masks during your visit. There will be hand sanitizer available, PLEASE make use of it! If you have been feeling ill, have been told to self-isolate or are showing any possible symptoms, PLEASE call to cancel your appointment.
The door will be locked. You just need to knock at your scheduled appointment time, and staff will assist you.
We are still accepting all regular forms of payment for adoption. Cash, Debit, Visa or MC.
Also, most of our adoption process IS paperless now! We will of course wipe down the POS unit and our digital signature pad between customers.
