October Pawsitive News Happy Tails “As promised I am sending and update on Cha Cha (now Harry) and Rumba (now Ruby). They are fitting in quite nicely.  Took a little longer for Ruby but they both now love lap time and lots of loving. They have grown quite a bit since we adopted them.  They are quite entertaining when they play and are very busy kitties. They are definitely bonded, they do most everything together and are never too far apart. They are completely adorable and we are so happy and grateful we could give them a home.” This brother and sister pair came into our care here at QHS in June

Quinte Humane Society Appoints New Executive Director The Board of Directors of the Quinte Humane Society (QHS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Marilyn Lawrie as Executive Director, effective November 2, 2020. Marilyn’s track record as a dynamic executive director, her leadership experience in the not-for-profit sector and her deep roots in the community set her apart from more than 50 other applicants as the best fit for QHS. September Pawsitive News Happy Tails 😻 Gator was adopted by one of our wonderful staff here at QHS and wanted to share his story with everyone. We are very thankful she opened her heart and home to him and gave him the loving place to heal and become the delightful boy he is today. “I adopted Gator in June 2018. He came to QHS in very rough shape with a broken foot, an abscess on his leg, an eye ulcer and an infection so bad it had gone septic. He spent many months in foster care with me healing from his battles. It was clear he was definitely not meant to live outside! Now Gator spends his day

Announcement ANNOUNCEMENT DATE: SEPTEMBER 8, 2020 We are pleased to announce Marilyn Lawrie is joining the Quinte Humane Society (QHS) as the Interim Executive Director starting September 21, 2020. Marilyn, who is currently the General Manager/Digital Media Manager for Stirling Festival Theatre will be working halftime for QHS while the organization continues recruitment efforts for a permanent Executive Director.
