Announcement Interim Executive Director ANNOUNCEMENT DATE: SEPTEMBER 8, 2020 We are pleased to announce Marilyn Lawrie is joining the Quinte Humane Society (QHS) as the Interim Executive Director starting September 21, 2020. Marilyn, who is currently the General Manager/Digital Media Manager for Stirling Festival Theatre will be working halftime for QHS while the organization continues recruitment efforts for a permanent Executive Director. Announcement Announcement Frank Rockett has left the Quinte Humane Society (QHS), effective August 28, 2020. During his five years with QHS Frank introduced a professional management approach to operations, developed a number of successful fundraising initiatives and served as an effective voice of the shelter through his various media activities. Jason Jason is a 4-month-old male neutered male kitten that came into the shelter as semi-feral. He is looking for a loving patient home that will help him come out of his shell. Since coming into our care he has discovered that humans are not scary and provide the best pets. He is still very shy but loves to play and loves to chase anything that moves. Jason does not like to be picked up and would not be suitable for a home with young children as loud noises are scary for him. He would do well with another feline friend to help bring me out of my shell and play with. He has not been tested

August Pawsitive News Happy TailsÂ đŸ˜» Kilimanjaro, now named Roast Beef, came into our care in May of 2020 as a part of a litter of seven. She was adopted in June by a wonderful family that adores her. We were given and update by her mom stating “Kilimanjaro, renamed Roast Beef by our 4-year-old, is doing amazing in just a few days with us. She’s such a good cat, we love her so much! Our daughter adores her and gave her a blanket and a toy to sleep with”. We are so happy she has found such a loving home and are loving the new name!
